Parish Data Management Information System (PDMIS) Training in Apac DLG

PDM Training in Apac DLG

On 20th and 21st June 2022, Apac District Local Government conducted a two days training of Parish Chiefs and Town Agents who are to spear head the Parish Data Management Information System (PDMIS) exercise within the District.

The Assistant Chief Administrative Officer Mrs. Susan Oyepa applauds the data clerks for their generous will to help the District through the PDMIS implementation.

“It is not easy for the staff at the District Headquarter to carry out this exercise that is why we called you and I need appreciate and urge you to do it perfectly well.” She added.

Apac DLG receives a new CAO, Mr. Okaka Geoffrey

Apac District Local Government recieves a new Chief Administrative Officer Mr. Geoffrey Okaka following the transfer of Chief Administrative Officer, Mr. Grandfield Omonda Oryono to Adjumani District Local Government. The hand over /take over of office was conducted on Thursday, 10 March, 2022 at the district headquarters. The event was attended by members of the Political wing of Apac District Local Council, Technical staff members, Development Partners, Media among others. 

Ministry of Public Service inspects Apac District Local Government

On 24/02/2021, a team of officers from the Ministry of Public Service and other Inspectorate Agencies inspected Apac District Local Government. The objective of the inspection excercise were to;

1. Promote compliance with service delivery standards, rules, regulations, values, systems and procedures.

2. Offer technical support supervision to facilitate improved service delivery.

3. Establish the status of implementation of the planned activites in Apac DLG.

Budget Conference

Apac District Local Government conducts a budget conference on 24/11/2020 at Double Duez Annex, Apac Municipality. In attendance were honourable councillors, technical staff of Apac DLG, Development Partners.

Okae Bob, District Chairman appeals to farmers

Apac LC5 chief cautions farmers

Apac LC5 chairman, Bob Okae has advised farmers in the district to seriously engage in farming activities during this corvid-19 lockdown period.

“This can be a blessing in disguise for people to plant various crops and realize bumper harvests. There is adequate rain, and we must shed off the corvid-stress in gardens,” Okae told selected farmer group members at Production department grounds on  18th May 2020.

Apac MPs return Corvid-19 money

Apac woman member of Parliament , Betty Engola and her counterpart, Patrick Ocan, the Apac  Municipality MP, have each returned the shs20 million controversial Corvid-19 to District Task Force.

While handing over the money to Chief administrative Officer, Wanje Michael, Engola said it was prudent to accept the court ruling. This was during the TaskForce meeting held at Red Cross Grounds.

Apac celebrates Independence Day, 2019

 

Apac Municipal Member of Parliament, Hon. Patrick Ocan has lauded the former president Milton Obote for liberating Ugandans from the colonial rule in 1962.

While addressing the Independence day Celebrations at Boma Ground, Apac on 9th October 2019, Ocan noted that the late Obote had the courage and zeal to face off with colonials in the struggle to free Uganda from British rule.
