Everflow Launches District-Wide Implementation of O&M Framework in Apac District with Inception Meeting

Apac, Uganda— Everflow, a leading innovator in sustainable water and sanitation solutions, successfully hosted the inception meeting for the district-wide implementation of its cutting-edge Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Framework in the Apac district. The meeting marked a significant step toward strengthening operationalization of the O&M in the district.
The event brought together key stakeholders from lower local government bodies, technical experts, the district chairperson, and the resident district commissioner. Held at the Planning Unit Boardroom on June 5, 2025, the meeting set the tone for a collaborative and integrated approach to O&M practices across the district’s water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) systems.
Key Highlights of the Inception Meeting:
Introduction of the Everflow O&M Framework, emphasizing preventive maintenance, local capacity building, and digital monitoring systems.
Stakeholder alignment on goals, roles, and timelines for phased district-wide implementation.
Launch of a baseline survey and needs assessment to tailor the framework to Apac’s unique environmental and infrastructural context.
Commitment from local authorities and partners to champion sustainability and accountability in WASH operations.
Speaking at the meeting, "Mr. Odongo Tonny Jasper, District Vice Chairperson, Apac," stated:
"This initiative by Everflow aligns seamlessly with our district's development goals. A structured O&M framework ensures that our communities can rely on essential services not just today but sustainably for the future. I appeal to them to ensure local leaders are fully involved through the help of District Water Officer.
Mr. Bosco Okello, Senior Everflow Technical Coordinator, added:
"The Apac district has shown great leadership in prioritizing long-term functionality." Our approach empowers local actors and integrates technology to ensure resilience, transparency, and service continuity."
The implementation phase will begin on January 1, 2025, and will be monitored through a multi-level performance tracking system, with results and learnings to be shared for wider replication across the region.
