Apac District Chairperson applauds Kayunga District leadership during the benchmarking visit to the District
Apac District Leadership led by the District Chairperson and Speaker had a benchmark visit to Kayunga District Local Government.
The visit focused on sharing experience and performance in the two Districts in similar activities. Apac leaders identified Kayunga base on her performance within a short period of existence compared to Apac that have been in existence from 1974.
The delegates focused on the following areas to benchmark on;
1. Revenue performance with reflection on Departmental contribution.
2. Educational performances and contribution to good performance.
3. Production: inputs in both crop and livestock with special interest in goat rearing.
4. Council performance in terms of legislations and roles in District transformation.
The Deputy Chief Administrative Officer/Kayunga applauded the team for choosing Kayunga to benchmark on and emphasized the importance of networking since it strengthens Local Governments as they learn from one another.
Apac team got impressed with the presentation from Kayunga technical staff and promised to implement the same when they resume back to the District.
Apac District Chairperson, Ikomba Asanti Odongo expressed gratitude to the leaders of Kayunga for warm reception and thanked them for sharing their vast knowledge and experience.
He assured the host District that for more fruit full and full deliberation and transformation for the people of Apac, he will host Kayunga delegation at Apac.
The resident District Commissioner Kayunga welcomed the delegation to the District and assured them with good security at the District. She requested the team to mobilize and vote for His Excellency the President of Uganda come 2026.
